ABOUT ME
Currently I am living in Sheffield, directly in the heart of England, next to the lovely Peak District and the birth place of Robin Hood. I came to Sheffield two years ago to do my PhD in natural language processing. Next year when I hopefully graduate, I will probaly move on and go to another place. We will see. Even if Sheffield is not the love of my life, I quite enjoy living abroad. Overall, most of the time I am a positive person who loves to meet friends and loves to explore the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Mostly I had good experiences with Couchsurfing. Hosting people and meeting travelers from all over the world is quite nice. But also the regular Couchsurfing meetings which take place in many different cities are a great opportunity to meet new people in a new town (if you just moved to a new place).

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently I enjoy Akira Kurasawa films. Books? Since I started my PhD I do not read much. The last book I read was Shogun, which was quite nice. The next books on my list are either "King Lear" from Shakespeare or "The song of Roland".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had a couple of amazing trips in my live. One was around China and India and another one was when I left Japan (I lived there for six month). I took a ferry from Japan to Korea to travel there and then I went on travelling through Vietnam (great food!) and from there via Bankok back to Germany.
Countries I’ve Visited
