hello, ^_^ my name is Dori.
I tried to make some thinking for this 'about me' section and the conclusion I came up with is that I am pretty much an idealist and that I don't like too much 'about me' sections when it concerns me. This is in spite of knowing that they are very useful, and loving to read other's notes-on-self because I find them fascinating.
I mostly write in the privacy of my journal or scrivener and I do the same with drawing and music. i love spontaneous jamming in little rooms, with few people and my sole instrument is my voice but I have a long-distance project of learning ukulele properly one day.
drawing and painting takes me into a state of meditation and joy * I do also practice actual meditation and yoga and I am curious to expand my knowledge on both of them. being spiritually inclined & receptive,
to me, the world is made up of wonders and questions. this keeps awake an inner and outer wanderlust inside me.
i am a compassionate vegetarian, making the shift from July into vegan. I celebrate this decision, which I left to mature slowly in the past two years, with a rollerblading trip now in July from Brussels to Amsterdam, if all goes well, I will see gorgeous things.
the sum of these and many other things I am engaged with regularly or irregularly makes me critical and passionate of environmental, human rights, political and social issues but i aim not to drift into cynicism and to preserve the belief in the goodness of humanity.
and this ending loops kind of into the beginning of my introduction.
because I think both choices and wishes for the present and the future are essential ingredients of a particular person, here are some thoughts about the skeleton of my dreams

to find territories of ideas, feelings & art to marvel at
to meet constellations of words, thoughts and impressions to contemplate about or thread them further
to discover, to grow, to refine and appreciate,
to spend quality time with fascinating people.

I am on couch surfing because I love its driving concept. I also love the stunning people I have met so far offering their homes and time, the insight into their exciting projects, the awesome and inspiring conversations. i also appreciate the emphasis laid on elaborating about a person's uniqueness based on the questions. i try to find people with whom we could learn from each other.
