I'm a Finnish university student (majoring in early years education) currently doing the Erasmus exchange program in Birmingham. During this exchange period I want to see as many places as possible inside of the UK (or outside of the UK is possibilities like that come up).

Music is my biggest passion, I love to sing and one of the things I miss most about Finland is my ukulele.
I might be considered as an old soul and one of the other things I love to do is knit. I love hanging out and talking to people but I don't mind the occasional night out dancing.

I'm smiling most of the time and chances are you'll make me laugh (especially with terrible puns). I'm introverted to some extent, but my life goal is to step outside of my comfort zone and say yes to everything I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As an exchange student I live with a very limited budget but would still love to see as many places as possible. I'd also love to meet new people and hear from locals about the places to see, best food around etc. so I think Couchsurfing is the best solution.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of music, my favorite bands usually fitting into indie pop/rock category, but you can find me listening to classical music or dancey chart-toppers as well. Recently I've been listening to Paradise Fears, The Summer Set, Rachel Platten, Walk the Moon etc. But when it comes to music, I'm always interested in new bands and especially live gigs.

My favorite movies usually fit into one or more of the three categories: musicals, romantic comedies and Disney. I love happy endings and if the characters sing as well, I'm probably hooked.

I don't read as much as I'd like to (except books related to my studies, those I read much more than I'd like to) but I like my literature quite light. I also have a long list of classics I'd love to read at some point.
