ABOUT ME

I'm a positive and energetic girl from Finland. I'm always dancing - for example Brazilian zouk or samba de gafieira, tango, ballet, contemporary, Latin dances... More recently I've tried to develop myself in ashtanga yoga and acrobatics. I fund that with my job in research ;) I really like cycling! I work 40 km West from Helsinki and try to cycle home at last once a week.

I love to travel. As a kid I lived in the USA, near Boston, so I speak good English. I'm currently trying my best to learn new languages (spanish! Feel free to teach me some!).

If I click well with a stranger, I'm very outgoing. Otherwise I'm calm and polite with new people, but I'll warm up. I don't smoke and although I love wine and good beer, I'm not a big drinker. (It's about the quality, not quantity..) I love good food and in that I'm an esthetic. Please introduce me to your food culture! =)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I work outside of town so I can't promise a couch and time to hang out, but we've done some hosting during our holidays and available weekends.

PLEASE NOTE: We are currently unable to host on weekdays, except while on summer vacation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfers are amazing people. During my trip to South America I have met tons of new friends who I have clicked with immediately. It's much more than just lending a couch, it's about connecting with people. I'm now trying to occasionally host people myself, to return the favor that I've received from my hosts to other travelers. =)

Interests

Dancing, good food, traveling (obviously). Introducing myself to yoga, practicing hand stands and any kinds of acrobatics. Cycling. Coffee (couldn't live without a coffee bean grinder anymore).

Music, Movies, and Books

At home we mostly watch Pixar animations. They are pretty much the only movies we agree on. ;D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen big waterfalls on three continents: Niagara falls in the US, Gullfoss waterfalls in Iceland, and the Argentine side of Iguazu; they were all absolutely awesome. Most of my best moments are related to spending time with people that are important to me, friends and family. The most amazing thing I can think of is to connect with a new person so well that you feel like you've known each other for some time already.

I'm a nutritionist, so I have a big interest in food. If you come to Finland, I'll introduce you to our food culture =)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Walks downtown, great conversations, ice cream and beer from Finnish microbreweries. I love my city and I hope I have the chance to show you the best bits!
