About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Running an eco-farm Bed&Breakfast in the south of Italy.

ABOUT US

We are a multicultural couple from Europe with a heartwarming love-story.
Back in 2014, in the time of autumn Laura decided to take the opportunity of an well paid internship in Barcelona, Spain. There in the small old streets of the beautiful Spanish city she met her Italian which she will follow until Australia. Her decision to start the journey to down under came totally spontaneous and unprepared. But is it adventures who make our life so liveable? Especially for love.
Three years has past by since the days in Barcelona and we are still sharing bed, life and backpack with all our love for travel and each other.
We lived together in Australia, traveled to New Zealand, Thailand and Fiji together and visit our home countries as a couple to show each others culture.
The love to travel is a powerful feeling,
but travel for and with your love can change everything... ;)

HER
Laura is originally from the German capital Berlin. She studied to be a film-editor, but while travelling she discovered her interest for making amazing coffee and latte art. She left Berlin 2012 for a central america trip and never truly returned. Her worldview is there of a environmentalist and on travel she's always researching projects and collects ideas how human could live more 'green'.
Her favourite day is Mondays, when Domenico has a day off and decides to cook for his girl her favourite pasta!

HIM
Domenico comes from a small town in southern Italy. The region of amazing cheese and vino primitivo. But whats not tasty in Italy. ;) He left his hometown straight after he finished his chef-graduation. And since then, 13 years later, he still feels non-stop the travel bug. Britain, Netherlands, Spain and currently Australia where his temporary homes, although he never stopped to cook the traditional dishes from his hometown.
He loves to paint and has an amazing taste of music.

We are both foodie-travellers, as well living the philosophy of 'discover slow, bath in cultures, live with locals'.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

No hotel room can give you the experience of being welcomed from a local.
We believe in the travel-karma
Couchsurfing is teaching us to open our hearts to strangers, to share and deny the life of egoists.
There is a German phrase saying: 'If you eat alone the dish you will get fat'
That means nothing come good out of keeping everything just for you and sharing brings you happiness.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Back in Berlin Laura open her doors for an entire summer period 2012. It was a great experience and I loved to helped people getting around in Berlin and tell them secrets where to go.
Laura surfed some couches in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Scotland and Australia. She always had a good time with her host and made long-life friendships.
Domenico is the first time at couchsurfing, but to explain, Italian don't really need a website for surfing couches all over the world. Italians are spread all over the world and their network to each other is a miracle to a German like Laura. A beautiful, impressive miracle! :D
