About Me

Hi hi, I'm a 26 year old New Zealander.
I am a relaxed and friendly wanderer seeking wellness, vast experiences, authenticity and connection.

I'm learning to let go of physical belongings in order to see more. Constantly finding inspiration in the colors of our world and choosing to see the beauty and the art that lives in everything.

As far as study and work goes, I am a trained fashion designer and I work as a Marine Trimmer - upholstery for boats!

Living for the good stories.
Always learning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I loved using Couchsurfing while in America and met some of my favourite people through this app. Looking to meet a few more in my home country.

Interests

Dancing at parties, thrift shopping, creating art, going to galleries, yoga, kundalini, hiking/adventuring, cycling when it's not crazy hot, late night philosophical conversations, seeing live music and performances in the grungiest of settings, styling, attending occasional drag shows, drawing, crafting, learning, making vegan and gluten free treats, and finding the best coffee and kombucha.

Music, Movies, and Books

Current Playlist includes, but is not limited to: Thee Oh Sees, Sloppy Jane, HTRK, Ratatat, Chinawoman, Blood Orange, Slice, Holy Fuck, Erykah Badu.

Occasionally I'll go for some RnB from the early 2000's, something that I can get down to.

Books: anything by Chuck Palahniuk. Rant was my favorite. I also love Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood. Recently I've been getting into metaphysical nonfiction.

Films: too many to mention.
I'll come back to this...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left my home, alone, to explore the other side of the world. Hitchhiked from and to places I had never heard of. Been involved in and displayed work in fashion shows. I've performed in my art on Cuba Street in Wellington, in Long Beach, California. I've facilitated art classes in a substance abuse rehab.
