ABOUT ME
Dutch native, living in very rural ireland for the last 16 years. Busy job (currently working with/for people with disabilities) which i try to balance with the solitude of living in the countryside with all my animals (5+dogs, chickens, goats, budgies) growing my organic veggies, smelling the roses
The older i get the happier i become, and although i'm not a chatty, outgoing person by nature, i really enjoy an honest and open conversation and a few good laughs (specially about ourselves :-) over a bottle of wine.
PHILOSOPHY
I like this quote from Oscar Niemeyer:
``Life doesn't make a lot of sense. But it's more meaningful if the
will to be useful and to help your neighbour predominates. Human
beings have to be realistic. We live, die and see others die – at the
very least there should exist a spirit of solidarity.''

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Couldn't think of one thing to single out like that. Every day seems pretty amazing to me. I am blessed in so many ways!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching&learning are such fluid things between people, how to put that in a few words?
One thing: as long as i can remember, being close to nature and specifically animals, has had a nurturing/healing affect on me. If that feels the same for you, my place may be a good one to visit. And in that spirit we may create a healing 'halfway house' for the rescue dogs i take in from time to time.
