About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exchange with people from different horizons that I wouldn't have met without CS; find what makes me happier; traveling in a more sustainable and responsable way.

ABOUT ME

I'm a french woman that lives in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I'm born in Brittany, France but I've lived from 0 to 10 years old in Cuba. Then I went back to Europe with my family, Barcelona, then Toulouse in the south of France. I've studied in Bordeaux, Madrid, Bogota and I've lived in New-York, Mexico DF and Port-au-Prince for work.

PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy I live by is finding a way of living in harmony with others, with myself, my goals and with our natural environment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been on CS since a few years, I love to discover new places and meeting people and I think that Couchsurfing allow us to do both and to have a different way of travelling, more human and sustainable.

Interests

Cinema, theater (improvisation), reading, music (lot of kinds), photography (argentic), roller skating, climbing, hiking, feminism and sociology. And everything else that can interest me, I'm a very open person.

Music, Movies, and Books

I try to watch more indie movies lately, I really like the Sundance Festival style for instance. Among my favorites movies and series you can find "Portrait of a Lady on Fire", "Moonlight Kingdom", "The Bare Necessity", "Twin Peaks", "Parks and Recreation", "The Addams Family", "Castle in the Sky".

I like to listen to indie rock/pop, reggeaton and something that Spotify calls "adult standars", apparently its old songs from the 50's and 60's radio ! But appart from that I can listen almost everything !

I read when I have time to do it (and lately I have time): contemporary novels and essays about society issues mostly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 7 or 8 I stayed one week in a Panamian archipelago, the islands San Blas. We didn't have access to electricity and running water. It was a great experience, I learned that we don't all live in the same conditions, and most of the time the ones with the most confortable homes are not the happier ones.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm very open minded and I want to learn all kinds of things. I love to exchange with people and to talk about their experiences.

I think that happiness isn't in consumption, what makes me really happy is traveling, meeting new people, exchanging :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My hitchhiking and dance skills and my (very) odd strange of humour.
