About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Anchor that smile deeper and deeper

ABOUT ME

There would be a lot of boring stuff to say here. ALL is quite a big word!
To keep it simple, I'm in my second year of a PhD in Ireland, I spend way too much time in front of a computer and in windowless laboratories. I try to stay in touch with the real world and am generally in for a coffee or a pint, especially if it comes with a good chat.
Interested in learning everything and its opposite, I also love to share what I know. (Which means you have to tell me when I'm boring you to death)
To balance all that unhealthy thinking heavy lifestyle, I try to go out hiking or cycling as much as I can and am slowly moving towards a daily yoga practice.
If you come to my area, I'll gladly show you around a little and if the time permits, would love to share a good meal.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy all that comes your way, this life is wonderful!
Try to follow my conscience and be a more conscious being

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted quite a few people up to now, though I don't have the time and space to do it as much as I'd like. Meeting CSers for coffee or pints, showing them around. Not the most active member for sure, but doing my bit to help and share this great idea!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Germany and France and hosted a good few people. Always been good fun and I greatly appreciate all the amazing people participating in this community. This is the way to go in traveling and in life, community support!

Interests

Music (mostly Metal), good food, good beer, science (from physics to politics!), growing food, living ethically, philosophy, hiking, cycling, yoga, movies, procrastinating, being absurdly spiritual, complaining (quite like that one)... I guess a bit of everything would be a good answer

Music, Movies, and Books

All kinds of music except what is generally popular! Mostly Metal, folk, Classic, but I'm ready to learn about all kinds. (I have a severe defficiency in popular culture, but am ready to try to improve that!)

I read a lot of fantasy books in my younger time, but now, mostly science books, philosophy and on social/political subjects, although I am going more and more towards litterary books. Spirituality is also growing in there, especially the asian one, although I am amazed at some of the Western gems.

Weird movies that shake your vision of reality, B series movies, I want to be surprised and shocked!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I must say that my first experience with mountains in the Alps, on the Aiguille du Midi was quite something, felt like the top of the world!
I'm starting to learn that every experience is amazing though, but it is hard to beat the wilderness

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about anything and its opposite! Surprise me!

I'll be happy to share what I know, though I don't know how it can be usefull to me most of the time, but maybe you'll find some use for it. Just let me talk and I'll deblaterate about anything. A lot of it may actually be bullshite though, be warned!
