About Me
I like to meet people; I did a part of the Camino de Santiago and met a lot of people there, all from different countries, with different stories to tell and with different reasons for doing the Camino. Somewhere between that pub-crawl in Madrid on that night after we couldn't find a hostel all day (my friend and I were literally running from one Hostel to next that day...), the pub-crawl in Santiago (we did have a room, but that was fun), the cooperative dinners with the other pilgrims, and the astonishing number of old people I met who were doing the Camino (I am talking 60/70 old), I fell in love with that experience, as it was an eye-opening one, and would like to have more such adventures.
I paint and sketch, but I do not do that very often (I uploaded some images as examples..)
I play the piano, at least I try to ;)
AND, I sing when I am in the shower... if you like opera :P (just kidding.. i only do so at Home)
I am not that good with languages but I have always seen my future-self speaking (other than the Arabic, Hebrew and English that I already speak) French, German, Spanish and (maybe) Russian fluently.
I am starting to be more and more of a daredevil (with baby steps though); I am practicing to run a full Marathon, and I would like to ski/snowboard sometime(we don't get much snow here), and I am thinking of surfing, skydiving and other stuff.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
having done the Camino, I would like to have other earthly experiences, to listen to people's stories, to learn about different cultures, maybe tell a bit of mine, and to have fun.
My brother was a couch surfer (he had couch-surfed all over Spain), so we had some couch surfers at our house, and it was always interesting to meet new people :).. so it's meant to be :')
Interests
- Physics (theoretical/mathematical)
- Music: I like Chopin for his poems, Schubert for his story-telling, Rachmaninoff for his ingenious structures of his works, and Tchaikovsky for his melodies. Of course Ravel and Debussy are less extroverts but just as geniuses... shall I go on? So it is mostly classical, but I love the Beatles also, for example, french chansons, Fado, Klapa, and a lot of other stuff that makes me want to dance.. I am becoming more and more interested in post rock, and experimental music also.
- Art: I could stare at a painting for hours, wondering about the techniques and the color choices (would advice you not to come with me to Art Museums :) ).
- Philosophy.
- Movies I like: Dancer in the Dark, Clockwork Orange, Requiem for a Dream, Notes on a Scandal, the Red Shoes.. and a lot more..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- The Camino was one big amazing thing.
- I jumped into the Atlantic Ocean in mid October (when it was freezing cold) in Muros-Spain (hence the daredevilness :P ).
- I walked 40Km in one day, with a 9Kg backpack, upwards on a very steep mountain (you would do anything to get to your destination when you take the bicycles' route by mistake in the Camino).
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to learn about different cultures and share a bit of mine:
-Learn to speak basic sentences in the native language, and maybe teach some in mine.
-Lean what people do occasionally, meet new people and get familiar with their food.
