About Me
Hello! I have just finished studying for a degree in Plant Biology. I've no idea where I'm heading, but I'm starting to enjoy that feeling more than worrying about it. I've tried different careers, from working in ethnobotanical conservation to owning a bakery to teaching motorcycle mechanics. I'm currently trying to learn how to play the recorder and Swing dance (I'm still rubbish at both, but slowly improving!).
I love the idea of hosting, I think it's a fantastic thing to be able to offer, and at the very least I will always try to provide food and something comfortable to sleep on! However, I am currently moving about quite a bit, so I cannot reliably host until the summer unfortunately. Although from that point on, you are all welcome! :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The people I have met and the friends I have made whilst travelling have been a wonderful influence in my life, and I treasure these encounters far more than the experience of being in any geographical location in particular. Couchsurfing seems to be a great way to meet people in general (as a host or by being hosted), and when visiting a new place, to learn about it through the perspective of a local.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have quite a broad taste in Music. If it's good, it's good. Live Soul / Motown / Blues is always good fun to watch!
My favorite movie is Eternal Sunshine For The Spotless Mind. A really beautiful story.
My favorite book changes often, but currently it's Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I jumped off a cliff into a lake. It was about 10 meters high. I'm not going to tell you how long I spent standing and looking over the edge before actually jumping, haha, but when I did finally jump, it was an amazing feeling!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to cook and make fresh bread and will happily share food, and will happily help out with any housework that I can do. I can help with any motorcycle mechanical issues you may be having. I can share with you weird and wonderful stories from the land of Birmingham. I can play you a very primitive solo on a recorder, although you are welcome to opt out of this one!
