Stromae will make you love fresh songs in french ! I like all kind of music, going from electro, pop, rock and rap (old ones) to jazz and blues ! I also prefer the songs that are not too mainstream ^^ Same for series, I don't watch Game of Thrones or Walking Dead for example (And no I'll never do that!) !
