About Me

Hello, my name is Louis, I'm a 28 year old french guys.

I have had the chance to live abroad during my childhood, following my parents to Morocco for 5 years and Senegal for 3 years.

In those countries, I became curious about the world, other cultures and religions, different opinions and people. I enjoyed those years, even though it is now clear to me that my family and were living in a bubble, a "gilded cage".

We came back to Paris suburb for my 18th birthday. I studied Business, marketing and communication. I wasn't so sure about it but I had no idea of what I wanted to do in my life at this time.

When I was 21, my critical mind started to awake and I realized there was no way I would work for any corporate company to help them advertise some useless products.

In the end, I started working in the education, and I got passionate about it. Firstly because I love to share knowledge and learn new ones. And then because I think there is no better way to heal the world than to give a better education to everyone.

My second interest is the digital culture, I think that it is our greatest opportunity and also our greatest challenge for the years to come. And my third interest is our planet. The last two are placed equally in my shelf !

As you'll find out, there are tons of things that interest me ! I'm always trying to expand the borders of my mind on philosophical and ethical questions, but I can also be very down-to-earth when it comes to political opinions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people from all over the world, to learn some nice stuff I can reuse to show off, to improve my language skills (especially german and spanish).

Music, Movies, and Books

Tough one...
I love all kind of music, but Parov Stelar, Chinese Man and Nina Simone are allways close by.

I love novel books... But there are so many. My latest book is Americanah from the nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (I confess that I had to google her to copy/paste her name ^^)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I slept in a camping without a tent next to Balaton lake, a week before going to Sziguet festival. This whole week was a complete nonsense.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Culture, political opinions, music, photos and memories from the countries I visited...

Philosophical and ethical questions can also be raised, often after a couple glasses of wine.
