About Me

I'm a 24 years old French guy (as of 2015 :) ), who just recently (well, 8 month ago) arrived in Toulouse, after having studied in Grenoble for the past years.
I've been travelling a bit for the past years, thanks to my studies (I did a 1 year internship in the US, and then spent an exchange semester in India).

I'm about to move in in a quite bigger place, since it's going to be a house for three roommates, but for now I still live in an apartment in the city centre of Toulouse.
I work in Toulouse as well and I would be glad to help you visit the city or the countryside since I have a car.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard about couchsurfing for a very long time and I eventually decided to register just recently. I believe it is a nice and simple way to travel and to really challenge yourself in order to discover the real people of the country / city you visit.
It is also, for the one who wants to welcome you, a sincere way to share his love of his city and his culture !

Interests

I practice quite a lot of outdoor sports, I love hiking, cycling, running, or just walking around in a city without any particuliar plan in mind.
I love discovering new places in just small groups in order to be completely free of move and will.

Music, Movies, and Books

For the movies, it would be the rock'n roll from the 60's mostly, so Beatles, Stones, Beach Boys, Kinks, but I do also manage to listen some music from our own generation. I'm quite adaptable on this subject most of the time.
Books used to be quite one of my thing but I kind of lost the taste / time for some time now. Still, I grew up with Tolkien and J.K. Rowling and I now really enjoy reading French Classics (Proust, Camus...) as well as more recent novels (Tom Wolfe, Philip Roth...).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent last year 1 month in Nepal alone : first 10 days in Kathmandu to discover the city and the culture. And then I moved into the mountains to go hiking towards the Everest Base Camp. I met quite a lot of people in all the lodges on the road and it is, so far, the best experience I have abroad !

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach French and french culture, and also some facts about the city I live in, or to help discover random places that only local people would know.
I enjoy learning facts about local culture, or just meeting people and sharing a piece of their life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I do have a double convertible sofa which would be glad to welcome you. I can cook you some french food but don't have too high expectations :)
And I would also be glad to help you visit Toulouse and, even if I'm still new in the city, to give you some tips about the nice stuff to do around.
