About Me

I am a masters student studying ecology at the Universidade de Coimbra in Portugal. I am enthusiastic, friendly and chatty. I am adventurous and really enjoy exploring and discovering new places - especially the outdoors and nature. I love to meet new people and chat with them about their different experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am doing two year masters which is going to take me all over the world to study in France, Portugal and Brazil. In each country I stay I am eager to travel as much as possible and see as much of each country and surrounding countries as possible. I want to do this off the beaten track with a host local to show or tell me the hidden secrets of a place to really help me discover the place and enjoy it to its full potential. I also really enjoy meeting new people and thought this would be a great way to meet lots of like minded people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a range of music but especially the Kinks, the Rolling Stones and the Beatles as well as some indie and reggae.

I am not really into movies that much but I love documentaries my favourite being anything by David Attenborough - in particular his series Africa.

I like the Harry Potter books best from when I was younger.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess this is kind of cheating as it is not really just one thing but I lived in Tanzania for a year which was the most incredible experiencing. I was lucky enough to work there and travel to most places within the country which was such a memorable experience. One of my favourite memories from my year was an amazing nature walk to an even more incredible huge waterfall where we could swim.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I really enjoy cooking so am happy to help with cooking/ cook a meal for my hosts or bake my favourite banana bread or brownies!
