About Me

I'm half Malaysian, half British and grew up in a small country called Brunei then moved to Perth, Australia. Now I'm living in Hamilton, New Zealand and have been for about 14 years where I studied and have been working full time for about 4 years.

I feel I'm a chilled easy going/easy to get a long with kinda person who likes getting out there and doing stuff, likes good banter/joking around, sports and drinking/eating.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Going travelling has always been on my mind. Finally I'm making the decision to just buy tickets and go in July 2017 to Europe.

I've heard this site is a great way to meet new people across the world, find places to stay as well as get a local view of a new place!

Interests

Travelling, food, wine/cider, gaining new experiences, watching/playing any kind of sport, football, snowboarding, surfing and recently I've gotten into trying out a little bit of mountain biking (still useless though)

Music, Movies, and Books

So hard to answer as I like a variety of music my playlists are so mixed!

I watch all kinds of movies, mostly action ones.

Recent books I've been into are travelling ones. I particularly enjoyed one called Long way around about two men travelling from London to New York on motorbikes the long way around through Eastern Europe/Russia/Canada

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Did a work placement in Borneo a while back and got our work published in a book about the biodiversity of the rainforests over there. It was very intense fieldwork walking up and down small mountains and scrambling through dense rainforests.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Once I'm settled back in New Zealand after my travels I'm happy to host people and show them around.

I've never met anyone who has regretted visiting New Zealand so DO IT!

Countries I’ve Visited
