ABOUT ME
I am Louisa, 29, from Germany, living in Rotterdam together with my Dutch boyfriend. We moved here in September 2016 after finishing our studies and both found a job. As we are working, we prefer to host people in the weekend.

I like to read (Harry Potter it is!), play board games or do sports. I played handball for many years and also love horseback riding, western style. Now, in Rotterdam, I regulary go to the gym or swimming.

I do not go out very often anymore, but I enjoy to meet new people from all over the world, hear about the places they've been to and what is still on their list :) On my list, there is Iceland, New Zeeland and Indonesia, followed by many more.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Me and my boyfriend just moved to Rotterdam, which is a modern and multi-culture city. We like to meet with new people from all around the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am still relatively new on couchsurfing! As I have been living in Holland as a foreigner, I like the idea to give other "travelers" the opportunity to sleep somewhere and meet new people at the same time. Therefore, my boyfriend Hendrik and I have decided to offer our couch. We prefer to host travelers who are interested in getting to know us, and are not just looking for a way to save some money.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My ex-roommate in Leeuwarden was very active on couchsurfing, and we therefore sometimes had couchsurfers over in our student house. She also introduced me to couchsurfing, end ever since I liked the idea. As my boyfriend and I have our own appartement just since October 2016, we never had the room to host anyone before.

Studying half a year in South Africa, and travelling all the way from Durban to Cape Town :)

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

As I said, I love board games, card games, any kind of games. So yes, I can share a fun board game night.
And I do knit. Not super-professionally, but good enough to make my own beanies and scarfs. So if you need a beginner-knitting course, let me know ;-)

If you on the other hand are very good in cooking, especially some non-european dishes, I am interested in learning some skills.
