ABOUT ME

I quit my "grown up job" in the UK and spent 4 years travelling/living in New Zealand, Australia, Italy, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, India, Morocco, Philippines and Portugal...which is where I currently live, in a little surf town called Ericeira.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is precious and too short to not approach everyone with warmth, compassion and a positive attitude.

If I can help you out, I'll try my best. I've relied on the kindness of strangers plenty of times.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a few couch surfing stays, all of which were very positive. (I've also done lots of help exchange/woofing so have stayed at plenty of strangers homes)

兴趣

I love people...talking to them, meeting new ones, learning about them and exchanging views and cultures. If we can do this over a glass of wine, even better. I love food and although I don't especially have a passion for cooking I REALLY enjoy eating.
I enjoy the outdoors, hiking and being in nature. I'm a qualified yoga teacher, and I love surfing. I have many interests and just like to try new things really. I speak some Italian and Portuguese.

PS: Although I am always happy to hear from new people and make new friends I personally don't use couchsurfing as a dating website.

Music I like: Jeff Buckley, Bon Iver, Jack Johnson, Ben Howard, Sigur Ros, Al Green, Damian Rice, Darwin Deez, Mugison, Beirut, The Steeldrivers, Nick Drake, John Martyn....loads really. I always say I like good music rather than any certain type of music.

Flight of the Conchords is the funniest programme in the world. FACT. If you haven't seen it then your life is missing something.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Way too many to make a list. It's rarely the most "impressive" things that you do in life that leave the biggest impact on you. For me living a simple life and sleeping at the beach in New Zealand, getting to watch the sun rise and set everyday, left me awestruck.
