About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To set foot in as many countries as humanly posible in a lifetime!

ABOUT ME

About me?? Well, I'm Louise, and from the Uk. I am living in Switzerland at the moment working full time as a nanny for a lovely family. I have previously been a live in nanny, so am used to being discreet and tidy (for any potential hosts! :P ) I love travelling, and it's all I plan for, all I think about! My big dream is to travel south america, as I have been to all the other continents (not antartica) and south america, especially the Rio Carnival has been a big dream of mine for a long time.

I am outgoing, and I love meeting new people and making good friends.

I enjoy cooking....well, I try!! If it tastes good that's all that matters! I am no gourmet chef, but I can whip up a spag bol or something of the like if needed! My fairy cakes have sometimes turned out ok ha ha.

I played the flute, viola and double bass for a few years, and generally enjoy most types of music, apart from screamy, slash your wrists type of music....no thank you, I shall rather listen to something else.

Um....things I like or hate:

I love marmite (for anyone who is not from the UK/does not know what it is....shame on you! ha ha!)
I am allergic to some animals but love most animals, and currently my nanny family have a cute little fluffy dog for me to look after as well as two kids!!
I hate it when people are always late!!
I HATE spiders!!
I love films in general
I love learning about new things
I hate the cold when you are not prepared for it (the wet too!) if you go out all wrapped up, it's fine!
I do not like the sea...mostly because of unidentified pieces of fluff, fur, or slime which touch you when in the water, and secondly I do not like not knowing what's underneath you! Plus I sunburn like a vampire daywalking, so tend to stay away from beaches at summertime!

Anything else you want to know? Please ask!!

PHILOSOPHY

Live each day as if it's your last....it could be, and I want to cram as much in to my short life as I can! As someone once said to me, your life will flash before you one day, make sure it's worth watching!!!
I do believe in that you reap what you sow (some call it kama, I call it people getting pissed off with you, and throwing stuff!) no, but seriously, I do believe if you do good that good things will happen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I cannot host. I have a very small apartment that is too small to comfortably host. If anyone is around where I live, then I am happy to meet for a drink/coffee etc.Let me know! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None...I am a coachsurfing virgin at the moment. I heard about through a friend who has used this site before to stay in France!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, as I said before, anything that is not screamy loud, metal type music. I do quite like dance and trance music, but also I like accoustic, chilled out music too!

Movies....any disney ones! :) Yay. I love horrors, and comedies, not romantic!! Blergh. lol.

Books, most things, but I love Jodi Picoult, and books written by people who have experienced a very hard time in life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing?? Ooooh that's tough!! Um, ok, well I would say cruising down through the Okavango delta in Botswana on a dug out canoe, and seeing elephants, zebra's, lions and many other animals on the banks of the delta, and just listening to the total silence, other than the insect buzzing.

I've also done 2 skydives, a bungee jump, 2 canyon swings, and like trying out new things!!
