Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have traveled a fair bit but have never couch surfed before! Over the years I've had friends and friends of friends stay with me in my old apartment in Montreal and it was always a blast. I loved hosting people in such a laid-back manner. I never thought to maybe travel this way myself.

my cat, Mr. Sparkle, is diabetic and I take very good care of him

when I was working in a rural health clinic outside of Livingston in Zambia, I once vaccinated 80 children in one day. Unfortunately I made most of them cry

learn: I am a sponge! I especially like learning useful phrases of local languages where I'm traveling. I also love learning local drinking games and card games! I learned how to play the card game dourak in mongolia and that went such a long way when staying with the nomads. Who needs words when you have cards and vodka!

I love to chat and can keep a good conversation going but know the value of therapeutic silence
And I can offer the gift of laughter! I know how important it is to unwind after a hard day of work (I'm an ED nurse after all) so I'm more than happy to help you relax when you get home with a couple of lolz and beers
