About Me

I'm in the US as an au pair and have been here for more than a 1.5 year. During my time in the US I want to see as many places in the U.S. as possible. If I get the opportunity I am hoping to explore Mexico and Canada too. - I DID, and I am so thankful I did, because those places are awesome.

Traveling is one of my big passions! I love seeing new places and cultures. I like to learn about the world and traveling definitely helps a lot and makes it more fun!

I'm a fun and active girl, enjoying the nature a lot. Some would probably say my humor is pretty bad, but I don't mind if people laugh at me instead of with me, as long as everyone is having fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The same reason why I chose to see America as an au pair instead of as a tourist. I want to experience the culture and the places I visit more from the "inside" which I think is easier if you stay with locals. Meeting new people and learning about different lifestyles is also a pretty good reason for doing couchsurfing.
I've had several good experiences with couchsurfing and I am definitely going to continue using couchsurfing whenever possible. So far I have not been disappointed, and every time I convince friends to try it, they start loving it too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Becoming an au pair and getting out of my comfort zone by committing for this more than a year experience away from everything I know.

Another amazing thing I've done was to donate 12+ inches of my hair to Wigs for Kids, who is a non-profit organisation making wigs for kids who for some reason have lost their hair.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share my Danish culture but also what this au pair experience have taught me about the U.S..
