About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am spending one year at Umass Boston, as a graduate student in History. I would really like to discover all of what New England has to offer! I would also like to meet some American students so that I can improve my English!

ABOUT ME

I am French but I am currently spending one year in Boston, as a History graduate student at Umass. I have played the violin and the piano for 15 years. I am currently a member of the Tufts university orchestra, but I like to play all sorts of music, like celtic music, or jazz. I love the arts in general, and I would like to work in cultural management, to organize cultural events like festivals, concerts, or performances.
What I love to do during vacations is go explore new countries and cities, or go skiing, hiking, or sailing with some friends. I am more of an outdoor person! My year in Boston has really made me want to travel more, I would love to discover South America in particular.I also above all love eating and cooking, and I am really enjoying my year in the country of pancakes, waffles and burgers!

PHILOSOPHY

I love enjoying every minute of life, with my friends especially! I hate being on my own, I am a very sociable person!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: folk, pop, rock, celtic music, classical, jazz...I am very open to a lot of different styles, save for hard rock, metal and rap music.
Books: I have-like many- grown up with Harry Potter and Pullman's His Dark Materials which made an everlasting impact on me! Otherwise I love reading all types of novels, really. I am not so much into sci-fi, but apart from that I am very open to any good book!
The same for movies!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my most vivid recollection of travelling was when I went to China with my orchestra. We spent ten days there, and it was amazing because it really bonded us as a group, and we made really close friendships. One day, we climbed up a sacred mountain during the whole day, and when we were finally at the top, we could see the other mountains shrouded in the clouds, with small pagoda temples on the top, scattered among the trees.
It was one of the most breathtaking vision I have ever had!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be glad to learn anything about one's passion, especially if it's something I know nothing about! In return, I can help you improve your French, or I can share a few things about music and travelling, because I have had the chance to travel all over the world since I was very young.
