ABOUT ME

I travelled for a year when I was 21 and got the bug. I got back home, got a job and from the first day was plotting and dreaming of my next travels. I have currently been away for coming up 2 years and have another 6 months or so to go. I love to see new things and experience different places. These recent travels have let me wander around Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. I have been in New Zealand for just over a year and have chosen to settle in a few places between travelling the country. I have met loads of interesting and lovely people and seen lots of great things. I love music, movies and photography.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am very new to couch surfing. Have met loads of people who have done it and what to get in on it! As I am travelling at the moment I can't offer a couch yet, but I look forward to meeting great people whilst I surf and eventually when I get home, whilst other people come to stay with me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't officially couch surfed before, but have spent weekends on lots of different couches in my time and have spent two weeks hiding from my friend's landlord in Australia!

Interests

Music, movies (although a bit out of date with these), photography, books, friends, food, wine........ Trying to learn Spanish so I don't die of hunger in South America.

Music, Movies, and Books

Finally seen the Godfather trilogy, LOVED them! Love all kinds of movies.

One of the great things about travelling is that I get the time and peace to read, read some great books over the past two years, some of the best..... A thousand splendid suns, The time traveller's wife, The kite runner, the book thief, Rebbecca, Pride and Prejudice...... I love all sorts of music, my ipod, which I would save from a burning building, is a huge mix of different things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Victoria falls,Niagara falls, climbed the empire state building, been to the top of one of the twin towers, hot air balloon ride, safari in the Serengeti, taught in a Tanzanian school, climbed a massive sand dune to watch a sunset, seen the yellow eyed and little blue penguins.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am beginning to love cooking and baking, I can't say I am the best, but I would enjoy passing my different recipes on and learning yummy things from others. I can also trade travel stories??
