CURRENT MISSION
Explore. Adventure. Learn. Live.
ABOUT ME
I love traveling and meeting new people. I was born and raised in Maryland and have recently returned from living in Chile and teaching English since February 2014. I have also spent time living abroad in Australia, where I spent a semester ¨studying¨ during university. In January 2015, I am embarked on THE trip of my lifetime (hopefully not the last) through Patagonia and part of Argentina. Now, I am back in the States, anxious for the next adventure!
PHILOSOPHY
Over the summer of 2014, a friend of mine that I played soccer with in college tragically died while biking across the United States raising money for the Ulman Cancer Fund. Ever since then, in her honor, friends, family, and even strangers have taken a vow to live like Jamie. Jamie was adventurous, kind, and one of the best people I have ever met. Through a group called miles for Jamie we were able to run/swim/cycle/walk etc. enough miles to not only help her reach her goal of getting to California, but have also gotten her to the moon and back. Now we continue to dedicate our miles to Jamie, and everyday live in her honor.

And I am also a sucker for classic action movies, fantasy, documentaries, horror...basically anything. Having studied film, I can see the beauty in almost everything...except Twilight, there is no beauty there (but yes, I have seen them all...guilty)
I am also a HUGE Game of Thrones nerd. Both the books and tv show.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I love bungy jumping and have done so twice. Although, I must admit, every time I am up on the platform I get so scared and have to suck it up and jump. Which is actually how I feel about a lot of things in life and is one of the main reasons I am here working in Chile for the time being. Anyways, I have jumped in:
1. Cairns, Australia 2011
2. Auckland, New Zealand 2013
As a fantasy nerd, this was a pretty big deal to me - being able to visit Hobbiton in New Zealand. And yes, it was just as magical as you might think.
Visiting Machu Picchu was a dream come true. It truly is a beautifully mysterious city.
Death Road Bolivia was another unique experience. Biking down one of the world´s most dangerous roads was such an adrenaline rush. Although it started off pretty scary, I was able to build up my confidence and by the end was speeding down the road!
