About Me
Hi I'm Louise, I'm 30 and from Liverpool in England. I left my job and ran off to travel, and now I'm a freelance writer trying to figure out how to work on the road so I can travel indefinitely. I'm living in my 4th country (NZ) and about to hit the road and move to my 5th (Canada), but before I go I have to see some more of this beautiful place you lucky things get to call home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I randomly heard of couchsurfing through an article about Lady Gaga, talking about how her fans would host other fans from out of town during her shows. I thought it was such a fantastic idea and I was so moved by the fact that people would open their homes to help others have amazing experiences. I was pretty psyched to find out that there was a travel equivalent so I decided to give it a try, and so far it's been utterly life-changing.
In 2011 I couchsurfed around North America from San Francisco to Miami to Canada to Chicago and everything in between. I eventually moved to New Orleans and lived with a good friend whom I originally met through couchsurfing! Since then, I've also couchsurfed around Australia and I'm hopefully about to do the same in NZ. I can't imagine travelling any other way. I've made amazing friends and shared some pretty great experiences that wouldn't have been the same without them.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love big female voices and anything you can shake some ass to, and I have a soft spot for cheesy rap. I draw the line at drum and bass and heavy metal, though. At the risk of sounding like my dad, that's not music it's noise!!
Movies: Eh not much of a movie person but if it counts, the TV show Queen Sugar is giving me LIFE right now! Also love nerding out with a good doco.
Books: Currently reading You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've had two open heart surgeries and I've been patched up with both mechanical parts and animal valves. So I guess the fact that I'm technically a part-robot part-cow (RoboCow?) travelling the world is pretty amazing?
