Exploring the outdoors- running, horse riding, swimming, climbing, skiing. Ecology/natural history, anthropology, philosophy, landscape/nature photography, guitar, human and animal rights. Also a bit of a bookworm.

Music-wise, I like Jack Johnson, Gregory Alan Isakov, Black Keys, Bon Iver, The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Regina Spektor, the Strokes, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One evening in Madagascar, a ruffed lemur very carefully descended the jackfruit tree my hammock was tied to. We locked eyes for a long time before he quietly clambered back up. He was so calm. That was rather cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to share any knowledge or experience I have with anyone who's interested.

If you have horses (or are just interested) I've trained colts using 'natural horsemanship' approaches.

I'm abysmal at it, but I'd love to play guitar with someone who's better at it than I am! Maybe you could teach me a few things.

I used to swim competitively, and just love being in the water.
