About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Chasing your dreams is just as much fun as catching them.

ABOUT ME

So I figured life with rain, solitude and battered mars bars wasn't really my thing. So I made sure that the most important thing in my life was being cultured. By cultured I mean, only saying no to the things that will prevent me seeing more of the world.

So I started by moving my life 5000 miles to California. I get such a buzz out of arriving somewhere new and saying..."ok what you got?" and just seeing where the wind takes me!

I would rather let the people who live there show me what they think is BEST about their country/town!
Oh and Bonny Scotland will always be my home despite the weather! Its sunny sometimes!

PHILOSOPHY

Do it while you can!
Everywhere is somewhere.
Don't worry about the things you can't change because you can't change them. Don't worry about the things you can change because you can change them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I want to go somewhere, couchsurfing is always my first port of call for a rest stop. There is so much more to learn from living with the locals then being cooped up in a hotel.
When I am stuck in one place then I will offer my home to you. I like bringing my surfers along to join in the local life, showing them around and sharing stories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Flagstaff, Arizona was my first experience and I loved it! I have based what I want from future experiences on this time! The grand canyon with friends then drinking and playing their kinda music all night. Went out with a small group of friends and them to see a Bluegrass group - something I would never have known about otherwise!

Interests

Skiing when I can.
Science - immunology, parasitology, microbiology, chemistry, astronomy, history and geography.
Hiking and walking!
Food and Drink - cooking/dinner parties/fine dining.
Fashion, Art, Painting, Photography and Prose.
Music (IDM, trip-hop and electronica), dance, raves and nights in with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen the sunrise over the Sahara desert while sitting on a sanddune and the world turned from blue to orange in an hour then...my mum came up and sat beside me and said "merry christmas".

I've seen giant spiders in caves and orphanages made of 24K gold in Thailand.
I've held a Python and drank the venom it spat into a jar in my hand!
I've seen Tutankahmuns head in Egypt!
I've seen the sunrise at Macchu Piccu.
I've swam with turtles and whales in Hawaii.
