About Me

I like to think I'm quite relaxed and easygoing, I've just graduated and am going through the obligatory existential crisis! I have always enjoyed travelling - though often without making real connections with people where I have been. Couchsurfing seems like a great way to do this.

My real passions is wildlife - especially birds. I've been a birder (birdwatcher) for most of my life and love nothing more than going somewhere beautiful and enjoying the nature around me. Birding has also taken me to many weird and less beautiful places (nuclear power plants, sewage farms, airport runways!), where I really enjoy seeing the overlap of humans and nature. I am also into more wildlife than just birds - especially plants, though I am still very much a novice and have a lot to learn.

I'm also a big music fan, I like jazz but also enjoy a lot more from UK garage & grime to Nigerian & Ghanaian highlife.

I love to learn - and think that you can always learn something from your interactions with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see new people and meet new places. Couchsurfing seems like a great way to do this.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to teach what I know - which is a little Biology, Chemistry, Maths, and a reasonable amount of knowledge of Wildlife. I am keen to learn what I don't know - which is almost everything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully friendship and fun. I'm also very happy to cook a vegetarian meal - I would be happy to try to cook meat also but I've been a vegetarian all my life so it might not be any good!
