About Me

BEING CURRENTLY SUPER BUSY WITH MY NEW BUSINESS, I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO ACCEPT ANYMORE GUESTS UNTIL I GET MORE FREE TIME.

1) I HAVE SPACE FOR ONE COUCHSURFER ONLY

2) PLEASE READ MY PROFILE CAREFULLY IF YOU WISH TO REQUEST A COUCH

3) I get several requests EVERY DAY, so if you want me to pay attention to yours, you should definitely learn about the difference between making a couch request and sending a message.

ABOUT ME

I come from a small village in the East of France (not that far from Alsace, where they make some excellent wines by the way). I've studied in Lyon, then in some Business School close to Paris, including an exchange semester in Toronto, Canada.

I've worked in advertising + web startups for a few years, as a communication manager and self-taught graphic designer at the same time, but I am now taking the time to explore new things and try to find what I really like and want to do with my life : I recently worked in a restaurant, then did some furniture design, photography...

I'm currently working on a catering service to bring new cuisines to Parisian people and help refugees by employing them as chefs/cooks --> https://www.facebook.com/Les-Cuistots-Migrateurs-1685842084991995/

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking alone in Asia during 2,5 months. That's how I started using Couchsurfing.com

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a good knowledge of Paris, of its history and of the best restaurants and places to go for eat (from high-end fashionable restaurants to small chinese cantines under 10€).

If I have the time, I will be happy to walk in Paris with you, take you to a French market, go to an exhibition... but I am not much of a clubber, meaning that I am not the best person to advise you where to go clubbing. Yet I know the famous places and I can still recommend some (and I also have friends with the good knowledge). However, this doesn't mean I don't like to dance, chill, relax on the terrace or go out for late night drinks and everything. It's just clubs...

WHAT I EXPECT FROM YOU IF YOU STAY WITH ME

Hosting comes for free, of course. But a good host tries to "pay back" by helping with the dishwashing, buying a bottle of wine, helping with the grocery expenses... especially if you stay a few nights.
I don't mean you have to do all this but showing some gratitude and not taking everything for granted is the least you can do.

I also expect people to clean after themselves. I am not your father.

I like people who are independent and don't expect me to go out with them all day. This said, I expect people to spend a bit of time with me so that we can chat and get to know each other. That is the all purpose of couchsurfing, isn't it? My place is no hotel. You just don't get in or out as if I wasn't there.

IF YOU HAVE SCROLLED THIS ALL THE WAY TO HERE and you wish to request for a couch at my place (a Request, not a Message), please start your request with "Louis, you look like Luke Skywalker".

This way I know you have actually read my profile and care about who you like to stay with.

If you believe I don't look like Luke Skywalker, feel free to let me know and argue why. Actually I used to look more like him with longer hair. I have a picture at your disposal if you don't believe me.
