ABOUT ME

We are a friendly and energetic family of four
Louisa;
I'm currently a full time mum to my 5 year old daughter Madeleine and my two year old daughter Tamzin. I love being a mum but I do miss travelling and meeting new people. I'm an easy going and fun loving person who likes new challenges in life.
Brendan;
I can be the life and soul of the party and love seeing people happy and laughing. I do however also need quiet time to reflect on life.
Louisa and I have a shared love of nature and we like nothing better than to out with the kids exploring the towns, villages and countryside of wherever we happen to be. I'm fascinated by history and my mind is full of, (mostly) useless facts... I fit electrical installations for a living.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far we have hosted couchsurfers from the USA, Italy, France, Australia, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Slovakia, South Korea, Brazil, Norway and India. We have made lasting friendships through it and our friend David met an Italian lady called Sara who was staying with us and romance blossomed! Several years down the line and they now both live near Milan and are expecting their first child...
We also had a fantastic time travelling round the Netherlands, Germany and Italy and stayed with some phenonmenal people.

兴趣

We both love to socialise and meet new people, our interests are cooking, cycling, walking, playing with our daughters, camping out, bonfires, festivals, dancing, parties, reading, watching films, climbing mountains, eating delicious food,and generally having fun.

We love watching films especially something with a bit of escapism or science fiction. we are also both avid readers when given the opportunity, Brendan tends to read more factual stuff, whereas I love a good Stephen King novel for example. We have very eclectic musical tastes these days and can appreciate most types of music maybe not Norwegian death metal.., but most. We love to go and hear bands play or go to any kind of live musical performance.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Whilst we were travelling, we had an amazing experience in Bangladesh. During our time working for "hands on disaster relief". We stayed in two small villages in the Sunderbans and built a couple of playgrounds for the children. The area had been devastated by hurricane Sidr. To see the children playing on the playground for the first time, will stay with us for ever.

Louisa
I love to cook, so we could maybe cook a meal together. I love to experiment with different food and I am looking forward to trying out something new. As we have young children we would love it if you could speak to them in your language.
I have just started to learn Spanish so any Spanish speaking people are particularly welcome
