ABOUT ME
Well, of course, as we all are, I'm smart, handsome, friendly and open-minded. I'm roughly 26, currently in my second year of PhD in neuroscience. I first came to know CS when I lived for a year in Los Angeles, through which I met wonderful people helped me gigantically when I first arrived!
Two years later (now), I'll be back in California for a neuroscience international meeting in San Diego, after which I plan to travel a tiny bit. I'd love to experience San Francisco, even though I've been there already, but this time somewhat through the eyes of the people who live there. Therefore, I'd be delighted to find a host available to make me discover, not THE city of San Francisco, but HIS or HER city of San Francisco. That would be for a short week in November, arrival around the 18th, till the 24th or so.
Leitmotiv : meet people, chat with them, have fun, and live and enjoy the city!!
PHILOSOPHY
"si la pierre tombe sur l'oeuf, tant pis pour l'oeuf, si l'oeuf tombe sur la pierre, tant pis pour l'oeuf."
Ainsi parlait un grand sage optimiste qui a rajouté ensuite :
"Si tu pars de rien, et que tu n'arrives nulle part, réjouis-toi, tu n'as rien perdu."
"if the stone fall on the egg, too bad for the egg, if the egg fall on the stone, too bad for the egg"
So speaked a optimistic great wise man who added :
"si you start from nothing and end up nowhere, gladden up, for you have lost nothing"

Awesome, thanks to them!!
Interests
I'm interested in a lot of things, so let's start with what brings me to the US once more. I'm crazy about life sciences, of course evolution and neuroscience are the best, I worked in LA on the evolution of sleep function and on the links between this and natural behaviours. My science ideal triad : sleep, ethology, evolution... Ahhh!!!
I'm also very fond of other sciences, like quantum physics, cosmology, astrophysic, ecology, genetic, wild life...
Apart from sciences, I play drums and other percussions (mainly bodhràn, djembe, cajòn, timbales, and little bit of congas) I've been playing for about 16 years now. So music is a huge part of my life, I couldn't live without it.
I also practice martial arts. I started with Judo from 6 to 10, and then started Kung Fu (Choy lee Fut style in case someone asks...) when I was 12 and never stopped ever since. I also practiced Tai Chi for 4 years ago, for it fits perfectly with Kung Fu. While in LA, I trained intensively in Wing Chun Kung Fu for a year.
On another hand, I read a lot, mainly fantastic, fantasy, science-fiction...

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies : science-fiction, political fictions, horror movies, fantasy, thrillers, humor and so much more
Books :pretty much like the movies
Music : Heavy metal, jazz, blues, ska, cuban music, trditionnal Irish music, funk, punk, classic rock, classical music, 80's... pretty much everything that has real instruments in it (don't like R'n'B, techno music, house, tripop...)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once saw a concert of an amazing drummer, Terry Bozzio (ex-drummer of the late Frank Zappa) alone on stage for 2 hours and a half. The only drummer to do a solo world tour!!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a drum teacher and a Kung Fu instructor here in France. So I can teach at least those two, plus biology, and of course, French.
