See below. As to my occupation, I'm an clinician (combination between lecturer and pro bono attorney) at the University of Pretoria's Law Clinic.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to meet people coming to South Africa, show them around, learn what I can from them and teach them what I can about my country.

I have also been fortunate enough to travel a bit in the past, and met wonderful people in the process. Other than that, I encourage others that are like-minded to join the couhcsurfing project.

Currently, I am in the US on a Fulbright / Humphrey Fellowship so can unfortunately not host anyone at the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have both hosted and surfed a few times, and have never had a bad experience.

Intereses

I have a very wide range of interests. What I can share over the net best is probably photography. I also enjoy Ultimate Frisbee, rock climbing, canyoning, hiking, running, good conversation, reading, exploring new areas, getting to know new people or getting to know old people better :-)

Movies: Epics (Gladiator, Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, etc.) Also most comedy.
Music: Very wide taste.

Probably being in nature in South Africa. Kloofing and specifically absailing down waterfalls come to mind. And scuba diving.

Depends on whom I meet - I can teach a few things over different fields, but probably nothing to an expert in any given field :-)
