About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn to enjoy whatever comes my way!

ABOUT ME

Well. Here are a few things:I grew up deep in some woods. I'm very easily delighted. One of my dreams is to write children's stories. I thrive on wilderness, cooking, creativity, and capoeira!I try to learn a lot, no matter where I am and what I'm doing...while attempting to keep the project of awareness as light-hearted and laugh-strewn as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

Laugh whenever you can.

Try thinking that anything is possible.

Get to know your vegetables, and don't overcook them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interests

Vegetables. Wilderness. Gardening. Making music. Capoeira. Dancing (salsa, hip hop, Argentine Tango, samba...). AMAZING FOOD: making, sharing, studying, experimenting, and deliriously enjoying it! Afro-Brazilian percussion and rhythms. Spanish. Backpacking and cycling my way through the beautiful corners of this world! Creating community. Perfecting the art of happiness, and learning to share it with others!

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many musical artists to name...they range from Bjork to Son de Madera to Z'Bumba to Youssou N'Dour.

A few authors I've thanked the world for, in no order: Louise Gluck, James Wright, William Faulkner, Danzy Senna, Jhumpa Lahiri, Samantha Gillison, Arundhati Roy, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and Cheryl Strayed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some of my most beautiful adventures have been on my bicycle. Once I cycled down the Oregon coast and around the islands of British Columbia, camping in fields and on the beach!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a bit about poetry, Argentine Tango, treasure hunts in the woods, and making cards from cut-up colored paper!

Countries I’ve Visited
