About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To adventure, experience, and get myself from place to place

ABOUT ME

I am a massage therapist & a Doula (continual support during labor and childbirth). I loooove movies, trying new kinds of beer, sewing, taking photos, making collages, taking walks, riding bikes, seeing graffiti, eating well, good conversation, good smoke and tea. I love to meet new people and can hold conversation with pretty much anyone.

PHILOSOPHY

Aw jeeze, how do I put this? I believe everything is science & mystery, mathematics & magic. I believe in an interconnected web of energy between everything living and non living. I believe everything is made of, connected by & effected by energy. We are all products of our surroundings & our surroundings are a manifestation of ourselves. My philosophy is that we are where we are supposed to be at every moment. It is what it is. I'm a "power of Love person" with a healthy helping of pessimism.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to host people in Baltimore because Baltimore has a rough exterior via it's reputation, but under that it's a place of collective cultures, good people, sweet entertainment, and good food. Summer time brings a lot of music shows and art festivals to the streets and the people seem to come out of the wood work. I couch surfed on the west coast and it was a wonderful experience that I would like to bring around my way. Happy surfing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed in Portland and Eugene, Oregon & Joshua Tree, California. We met awesome people, had a great time, had wonderful hosts, and made new friends. Couch surfing was one my favorite parts of the trip.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? Hmmmm, I think an amazing thing I've done is help women through childbirth, it's beyond words to see someone be born and to witness what it takes for that to happen.
Something amazing I've seen? the tops of the mountains in Shenandoah National Park.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I'll just say it: Childbirth, i'm not an expert but I have more info than the "lay person" about birth and birth experiences as a Doula. Also, massage, wellness, yoga, the mind-body connection. I like to talk with anyone about ideas, philosophies, experiences perceptions, ambitions, concepts.
Learn: How other people relax, eat, socialize, work. I want to learn how other people, other communities and cultures work differently from mine.
Share: I enjoy having a best friend, it's up there in my favorite things for me, so I just like to share experiences with others.
