Overview
About Me
Hey, I’m Lovelish – a friendly, curious, and open-minded traveler from India, currently living and studying in Germany. I’m on a personal journey across Europe to explore historical cities, medieval architecture, and most importantly, to connect with locals and share real-life experiences.
Professionally, I have over 14 years of experience in animation, design, and 3D software. I worked my way up from a technician to a lecturer, teaching tools like Adobe Suite, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Maya, and 3Ds Max. I recently started studying again at a German public university to improve my creative and design thinking.
But beyond work, I’m a people person. I love having deep conversations about culture, life stories, and creativity. I enjoy cooking Indian food (especially spicy potato curry and chai 😄), and I'm always ready to learn new skills from others—be it cooking, language, or local traditions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, travel isn’t about ticking off places. I want to meet real people, hear real stories, and understand what life is like in the places I visit. Couchsurfing gives me a chance to do exactly that—connect beyond tourism.
I’m not looking just for a free place to stay—I genuinely enjoy cultural exchange. If you have time, I’d love to cook, help with chores, or just chat over coffee. And if you’re busy, I completely understand and will respect your privacy.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I enjoy a wide mix depending on my mood—from ambient electronic to old Bollywood classics, Indian classical (like Ravi Shankar), and sometimes lo-fi beats while working. I also love discovering local music when I travel!
Movies: I’m a big fan of animated films like Spirited Away, Wall-E, and Coco. I also enjoy realistic and emotional stories like The Pursuit of Happyness, The Lunchbox, and Into the Wild.
Books: I mostly read non-fiction related to creativity, psychology, and design. Steal Like an Artist by Austin Kleon is one of my favorites. I'm also exploring simple German books to improve my language skills.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2015, I designed two exhibition spaces for GITEX Technology Week in Dubai—a massive international tech event. It was a huge challenge managing design, deadlines, and execution, but seeing people walk through something I built from scratch felt truly amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Maya, Premiere Pro), animation basics, and even help with portfolio building. I also love showing how to cook simple Indian meals!
Learn: I’m always curious to learn about new cultures, languages, stories, and local traditions. I’m trying to improve my German, and I love hearing how other people approach creativity or life in general.
Share: I can share my life experiences—from growing up in India to teaching in colleges, and now living as a student in Germany. I love meaningful conversations and sharing laughter over food or music.
