About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience all the world has to offer, in as many countries as possible, meeting new locals in each destination! La vie est belle!

ABOUT ME

Traveling is a huge part of my life. I love meeting new people and experiencing new cities from the locals point of view. I was biten by the travel bug very young and am constantly daydreaming of my next trip. I've been very blessed in the traveling I've already been able to do in life. I'm an extrovert, I like all sorts of activities and am open to learning and doing new things. I'm a pretty happy go lucky person, when I'm tired I start to make less and less sense :p I'm not a big drinker but always enjoy a glass of wine or two. I'm a former flight attendant who's used to a wonky schedule, turned licensed insurance advisor (thanks covid) working the 9-5 grind. For that reason, Mondays and Tuesdays are harder to host than the rest of the week.

When requesting to stay with me, make sure you mention the name of my dog so I know you've read my profile :)

*References are important and what keeps this site safe and people accountable, I've had more and more people stay with me who don't leave references, if I see you've been hosted but haven't left references with your host I will not be able to host you. Otherwise Happy Surfing!

PHILOSOPHY

Aspire to Inspire before you Expire

Simply - Experience all Life has to Offer

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed while backpacking Europe in the spring of 2010 and I had my first 2 couchsurfers on my 22nd birthday in July(2010)! I've been hosting and surfing for over 8 years, couchsurfing has evolved a lot since the beginning but it's still an amazing way to travel and immerse yourself in the culture!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I backpacked Europe in 2010 I got to meet some amazing people, I surfed in Amsterdam, Dandermonde, Munich, Prague, Cesky Krumlov, Vienna, Budapest, Treviso, and Catania. Every experience was different and great. I loved meeting new people and learning little things about the area. Since I've been home in Canada I've hosted lots of couchsurfers and loved the experience. Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to travel. Its the only true way to understand the culture and the people. Thank you so much to all my host, you were amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make a great chocolate chip banana bread. I would also be willing to help people with their English and or French skills, I'm very patient. I love to share my travel experiences and I'm hoping I might learn a thing or two about photography along the way =D Also if you want I can teach you how to juggle and make an avocado smoothie/avocado pudding...I'm pretty good at both :0)

What I Can Share with Hosts

What I can offer hosts is lots of laughs and possibly a baking class :) I don't mind doing dishes, and I enjoy swapping music from home. If you'd like I can also teach you how to juggle (fun party trick) I will respect your home and your time. I would love to make a dinner together if the time permits too. I'm looking forward to meeting you :)
