Hejsan, I'm a 21 yo student currently on my university exchange year in the UK. Originally I'm from Finland but moved to Munich for my studies of English and Film. Whenever I get the chance to have some time off from writing and reading for my degree I travel. I wish to see and experience as much as possible, every place has its own story to tell and with my love for detail I will enjoy and take time listening to it. When I get back I will have my own story to tell, supported by photos, film material and things I will have picked up on the path.
If not on the road you will most likely find me involved in some cultural project, writing, reading, listening or drawing, cooking and baking for my friends, laughing, dancing + always dreaming of and planning my next journey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a massive couchsurfing fan! My travels have been made so much easier and absolutely benefitted from this platform. Not only is it super convenient for young people or students travelling, who obviously don't have the highest income, but also on the level of learning a lot more about the country and its culture during your visit - plus- the wonderful opportunity to make friends. I have got to know places and people through couchsurfing I would never have come across without this community - memories for life. Merci to everyone who is keeping the values of hospitality and the kindness of strangers alive. Can't wait to meet you lovely people for some new adventures! x

Movies and film-making is one of my favourite things; Only Lovers Left Alive, Paterson, Wings of Desire, La Grande Bellezza, The Light Between Oceans, Pushing Daisies, Halt and Catch Fire, Leon the Professional,... Jim Jarmusch and Peter Jackson are my heroes
I study language and literature so I love a good story, poetry and all kinds of writing; To Kill a Mockingbird, Love in the Time of Cholera, Anna Karenina, The King, And the Mountain Echoed, probably everything by McEwan, Tolkien or any Victorian writers

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled through Western Canada with my best friend, hich-hiked and couchsurfed a lot and got to know the most beautiful places and people - best time of my life!
