About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I link - therefore I am

ABOUT ME

I consider myself as a lady with an open mind to other cultures, regardless of religion, race etc. I've never been married, and got no children. So I am free to go when and where I want at any given time. I like to live near the seaside or in the country. City life is definitely not for me, and I don't like the nightlife with noisy bars and pubs. I love tropical climate!

PHILOSOPHY

We all share this world and should make the best out of it! We should also respect Mother Earth and all its beings more. Big or small, beautiful or ugly, all have a meaning in the balance of nature!

I have always been free-spirited and a bit restless, so I have had trouble settling down in one place. But as the years go by I feel the need to get a more stable life and hope to find a good spot in the sun to settle down eventually.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Positive experience so far, and more guests on the way soon!

Interests

Love to travel, esp. off the beaten track.Like to play board games, like Backgammon and Trivial Pursuit. Also an avid record collector (vinyl!), both LP and singles. Also fan of crosswords since age 6, and sudoku. I am also fond of vintage cars, although I don't have one at the moment. My last one was a 72 Rover 3500 V8. Still miss it!
Now I've got a 1986 Daimler (Jaguar) XJ6.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love music, esp. reggae and world music, but also latin, jazz, blues etc.

I like movies with a meaning, not too much action or sci-fi.

I used to love reading books but the age of internet (and my record collection) consumes most of my time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The "bravest" thing I ever did was to sell everything I had in Norway and move to Thailand after a holiday there 1 year before. Unfortunately the 2004 tsunami made life more difficult and I have temporarily moved back to Norway.

Teach, Learn, Share

Be humble in meeting other cultures. What is good and acceptable in one culture is not necessarily the same value in others! When in Rome, do as the Romans. Respect that other people don't have the same cultural references as yourself.
