I have a wide range of hobbies. I love anything outdoors, hiking, biking, swimming, surfing, camping, ect. I spend a lot of time reading. I like to write as well and hope to publish a book of my own one day. I also enjoy art, viewing it as well as creating it. I've just began gardening and hope to grow most of my own produce this summer. I'm an advocate for human rights and protection of the environment. I love helping people in any way I can. I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology.

I love meeting new people. A few year's ago I backpacked and hitchhiked across the United States from New York down to Key West then to California, up the coast, then returned back to Connecticut. My friend and I hitchhiked, walked, and caught freight trains the whole way. Along our route many strangers picked us up, brought us into their homes, let us use their showers, fed us, and showed us amazing hospitality. I would like to give that back to people traveling through the USA, and also hope to backpack across Europe and visit Mexico in my near future.

My favorite genres of music are alternative, punk, and reggae. I have too many favorite bands to pick just one. If I had to choose ten favorite bands, they would be: Against Me, Sublime (the old stuff), Bob Marley, Rage Against the Machine, Pink Floyd, The Lumineers, Of Monsters and Men, The Monkees, The Animals, and The Doors. I love horror movies, comedy's and some Drama. Some of old favorites are Shawshank Redemption, White Oleander, Almost Famous, and girl interrupted. I've read thousands of books, there a so many talented writers out there. Some of my favorites are Mark Twain, Stephen King, Ann Rice, James Frey, Marni Mann, Christina Baker Kline, Louis Lowry, John Greene, and Jeanette Walls, although those are just a few of them.

I've achieved a few of my life goals. I worked for a year as a flight attendant, I spent four year's serving my country in the USCG, and I spent one year hitchhiking and hopping freight trains all around the USA.

I can teach English and writing skills and styles. I want to learn Spanish and everything I can about other cultures. I think everyone has a story to tell and something to teach, and I want to learn all that I can.
