I'm a mother of three, working at the Swedish Agricultural University, developing education and doing research on cooperatives. Most of my spare time is spent on the soccer field with my two oldest children, or on the playground with my youngest. Before kids, I used to go birdwatching, dance lindy hop and folk dance, work out at the gym, read books and discuss environmental and conservationist issues. Now I dream about gardening (without having the time to garden), plan remodeling of the house and spend my time organising activities for the kids. I still read and try to get some hours for knitting though. Basically, I'm middle aged nowadays :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It seemed like a neat idea, and sort of more interesting than staying at a hotel when there is a tournament or something somewhere in Sweden. It would be interesting to get to see more of a town than just the soccer fields :-)

Anything with Tom Waits, the Cure or Depeche Mode. Recently mostly read biographies, used to love Garcia Marques books, the last book I read was The Hare with AMber Eyes by Edmund de Waal, which I really liked.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked on a farm on Iceland for half a year without knowing the language, and my employers only spoke Icelandic. It worked out though, but it took some effort :-)
