ABOUT ME

I love languages. I've already studied Spanish (rusty) and Norwegian (mye bedre fordi jeg kan snakke med faren min og mine andre slektninger). Next on my list is to brush up my Spanish, then learn German (bought the books), followed by Russian, and whatever comes next :)

Speaking of passions, I love food. Cooking and the culinary arts give flavor to life. I want to learn from and experience as many cuisines as possible, because I believe that you are what you eat, so you'd better eat well ;)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by trying to be the best darned possible guest ever when I surf, by opening my home up to those in need of a place to stay, and by spreading the good word of Couch Surfing's vital role in this technology-driven renaissance of hospitality.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm brand new to official couch surfing, but I've done my share of freelance CSing in Norway during my last couple visits.

Update:
I've now CSed with three hosts: Amanda in Omaha, and Shirley and Diego in LA. These tremendous experiences have completely hooked me on Couch Surfing and it'll be tough to sell me on any other form of travel.

Had a great time couchsurfing in Columbus, Oh with Zarkov and Co. and in Chicago, Il with Alex the inestimably cool duo, Chirag and Nancy.

I studied in Norway along with 500 other students representing some 100 different countries at the International Summer School in Oslo. The invaluable friendships gained and the depth of cultural perspective acquired were pivotal in shaping my view of the world and myself.
