About Me

In my spare time my favourite thing to do is to be creative. I love playing music (I can play several instruments and sing), writing and making videos for my youtube channel. I like new experiences which is one of my favourite things about travelling and one of the main reasons I don't like to spend too long in one place. Since leaving high school, I've spent time working several jobs around the construction and hospitality industries and saving money towards the next adventure. In March, 2016 my girlfriend and I will be heading off on a year long working holiday to Canada, starting out in Vancouver.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people in new places who can give me local insights into the best way to approach seeing a place. Also to host people in my home city of Wellington and give them the same insiders information when circumstances allow for that (ie when I have a place with a spare room or couch to offer).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, at the moment my favourite artist is probably Twenty One Pilots but it changes frequently. I grew up listening to 80s rock, played in jazz bands and marching band in high school, sang in chamber choirs, got into hip-hop in my mid-teens, so musically I'm all over the place.

My favourite movie is probably still Forrest Gump.

My favourite book is definitely Catcher In The Rye, fell in love with it in school and have read it several times over the last few years, close second is The Perks of Being A Wallflower.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in the U.S. for a year and attended high school there through an AFS exchange programme. Wicked cool experience that totally changed my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I take my guitar with me everywhere I go and am always happy to play music for a willing audience. I enjoy chatting and have a few different interesting travel experiences to swap stories about. I'm happy to help out with household chores and love to cook so there's that as well.
