ABOUT ME

Hmmm...I think that I am someone who enjoys life. Normality and complacency worry me. I love the quiet unassuming presence of nature and the sounds of the sea. I also love the hustle and bustle of the city and masses of humanity. Sometimes I just like to sit and think and people-watch. Sometimes I will talk someone's ear off. I'm genuinely interested in what you have to say.

But self-perception rarely equates with how others perceive you, so perhaps this question is best answered by you ;)

PHILOSOPHY

Live life well. Live life ethically. Don't take more than you are prepared to give back. Do the things that scare you the most.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Erratically, unfortunately. Sometimes life gets in the way!
But I always love meeting people from elsewhere and hearing about their life, whether it's hosting, surfing or just meeting for a drink.

Intereses

I like markets, op shopping, travelling, yoga, books, photography, mowing the lawn, thought-provoking quotes, an excellent film, good coffee, a cigar, and nice wine. I'm passionate about sustainability, giving back, learning, thinking, questioning, and exploring.

I'll watch/read/listen to anything once, more if I like it :)
Oscar Wilde, TS Eliot, ee cummings, Bill Bryson are a few of my all-time favourites, but I read a bit of everyone and everything.
I love English TV shows (Black Books, Blackadder, Yes Minister, Dads Army, Porridge, the Thin Blue Line, Midsummer Murders...).
