coconuts. used bookstores. my grandmothers house. nina simone. accomplished to do lists. finding the perfect word for any given situation. taking photos with my father. horror movies. soup. the smell of hot, wet concrete. childrens theatre. high fives. live music. standing on my head. california sunshine. geriatric geniuses. fresh jasmine. road trips. sea otters. homemade pizza dough. halloween. newsies. eating mangos on the beach with my fingers. when people laugh so hard they snort. libraries. sidewalk chalk. scotch, especially really good scotch. “bear pawing” someone in the face. drinking wine while cooking dinner on a cool summer evening. dogs, especially big stupid ones. my job, most of the time. bubble baths. climbing trees. the smell of film in the fridge. cardboard boxes. flea markets. being taken care of when you are sick. playing dress up. my book club. the perfect bite of a well made sandwich. wandering around in hardware stores. parks. yoga. mel brooks movies. hiking. people from michigan. giving into “wanderlust”. playing poker. river rafting. red cabbage. books on tape. baseball movies. the summer fiction issue of the new yorker. people who believe. and clearly mis-using punctuation/ capitalization techniques.
