ABOUT ME

I hate filling these out..bah.

Well, I'm 24, just graduated from university here in the US and recently returned from a 6-week solo backpacking trip through mainland Europe and the UK. Best experience of my life. Annnd now, I'm working on looking for a job...hopefully to save more money so I can go travel again soon :)

Other interests:
dancing, movies, music, painting, pilates, field hockey, outdoorsy activities...ooh, and I really want to go skydiving or snorkeling.. :)

I most definitely want to skydive at some point in my life (hopefully soon..maybe even on this Europe trip)..and I would LOVE to learn to surf. I've always been drawn to the more "extreme" sports, but haven't really done any of them myself..but hope to change that.

Eventually, I'd love to be multi-lingual. I took Spanish for 3 years in high school..but have pretty much forgotten most of it. I took Italian for a year in college (and loved it)..but am also rapidly forgetting that..basically because lack of practice..
I'd also love to learn French..but we shall see.

Music, Movies, and Books

I *love* movies. Action, drama and comedy are my favorite genres. And I pretty much refuse to watch horror films. That's just how it goes.
For music..I'm pretty open, and I love discovering new stuff. So if you have a suggestion, feel free to let me know :)

Books: I like to read BUT..I'm still working on creating more time for this, because school is back in session and is therefore invading my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer I participated in a study abroad trip to Italy..and it was fantastic. Italy is so incredibly gorgeous. I stayed in a smaller city outside of Milan..and visited Rome, Florence and Cinque Terre (which, if you have the chance, you need to go.)

Just got back though from my first solo backpacking trip--and that in itself was one of the more amazing things I've done in my life. I learned a lot about myself and got to see and experience a lot of the more fantastic things the world has to offer...all in one trip! And yes, I'm going back...I just need to get some more money together :)
