I'm interested in travel, skiing, running, hiking, packrafting, backpacking, sustainability, ecology, recreation, wilderness, maps, plants, food, books, podcasts and eclectic tastes in music.

PHILOSOPHY

I value freedom, empathy, humility, living with intention, autonomy, and healthy interdependence. Huge psychology and relationships nerd and believe fully that the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives, as Esther Perel so beautifully articulates. Connection is my passion; I love meeting new people!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Waaaay back in 2007 when I decided to move across the country for a job, I used CS to get me there. I also attended some fun meetups back in those days. Now that I'm no longer living in the middle of nowhere, I'm receiving more requests which is fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed in Cleveland, OH, Rochester, MN, rural WY, and Cali and had wonderful experiences whether to visit a new city or to ski. I enjoy when I run into CS folks along the way who are like-minded, and that's always an instant connection and good conversation.
