Overview
About Me
I have a passion for languages, cultures, and history. I'd love to improve my communication skills in English and Japanese, and hang out with fellow travelers.
My brother and I have a travel youtube channel, and you can watch our 1 minute intro here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7mhBvjMayo
My favorite author is Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Colombian Nobel prize). I'm interested in sightseeing, history, meeting interesting people, and having the opportunity to practice English.
PHILOSOPHY
Discovering happiness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to connect with fellow travelers, experience a bit of their culture, and share mine with them. In this video, my brother and I share our particular experiences with Couchsurfing:

When I'm in New York, I plan Couchsurfing meetups with my brother, sister or boyfriend. And when I'm traveling, CS helps me to connect with locals and hag out with them, which is my favorite part of visiting a new country.
Interests
Languages, communication, history, happiness, learning.
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book is Love in the times of cholera, and all of Gabriel Garcia Marquez' books. I also like One Thousand and One Ghosts by Alexandre Dumas, and Foundling Mick by Jules Verne, among others. I like some TV series such as The big bang theory, Friends and GOT.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Feeling the wind on my face at the Fushimi Inari Shrine, in Kyoto - Japan.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, this might be basic but I just learned it recently: we don't have to wait for the perfect set of circumstances in order to do what we love, and to be happy. It would be really nice to learn about other people's experiences regarding their own pursuit of happiness.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would like to share my culture in every way I can. For example, through cooking traditional Colombian dishes, speaking Spanish, dancing or just having a conversation.
I love to prepare Colombian cocktails. In this video you can watch how I make them and a bit of dancing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEFuISXJWHE
And in this video, there is a preview of me cooking a thanksgiving dinner Colombian style: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5AqaZLbUUQhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5AqaZLbUUQ
