CURRENT MISSION
To nourish the creative spirit in everyone
ABOUT ME
My friends would probably tell you I'm a gentle loving soul with an open heart, blessed to be surrounded by great friends, always willing to lend a hand without having to be asked. I can be a lot of fun but my version of fun is not drawn towards drinking or partying. I love long talks over a glass of wine, cup of coffee or tea, or a good meal. I also love to sing and dance around a fire at night like a wild woman.
PHILOSOPHY
"I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to another human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Saying YES has opened up opportunities I never could have planned. I just returned from New Zealand where I had a wonderful connection with a few CSers and a great host. I love learning about peoples lives, cooking great food together. Each time I meet new people it makes me realize how much we Americans can shut out the beauty of chance encounters by protecting ourselves in our big safe homes. Makes me realize that opening my door to the world, opens my heart in bigger and humbler ways.
I've slept on couches, floors and even in a cave with 29 women friends. Gathering good people together and welcoming them in my home is one of my favorite things to do in life. Many friends have shared my couch and I theirs. The best moments on my recent RTW trip was during Homestays with families that treated me as a sister.
Interests
I'm interested in art & spirituality, sustainable living, yoga, sacred chanting and meditation, spending time outdoors (hiking, camping, biking, canoeing),love visiting museums and art galleries, old churches and temples, I'll take a farm or the woods over the city but I do still enjoy visiting....just don't want the pressure of living there anymore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran off the top of a mountain in Nepal and flew tandem paragliding. For this scaredy cat who doesn't like heights or roller coasters, this was a big leap.
I've have had a few beyond the body experiences that we could talk about.
Last year I had the pleasure of photographing His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama, which ranks as the best shoot I've done in my lifetime.
Hugging Amma...would do it again in a heart beat. She inspires me everyday to see the divine in everyone who crosses my path.
Teach, Learn, Share
Let's write together... I'm a trained writing group leader and love to host groups of fellow writers. Want to learn how to make a book? Or take better photos? I can definitely help you there! I'm a teaching artist when not being a professional photographer, so we can sit around the table making books all day if you've got some paper and markers.
