ABOUT ME

I travel mostly while doing mission work. I usually travel alone because no one else feels like traveling. I love photography, reading, writing, and anything else that catches my fancy at the moment. I have found a great need for horse therapy in India, and I am helping teach people about it when I can.

PHILOSOPHY

You can make the world better, you can leave it the same, or you can make it worse. It's your choice.
Jesus rocked the world when he was here. He changed things completely. And he said I can do greater than he did.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly surfing. We don't get a lot of interest out here in the sticks...We're a little too far from Chicago to be of any interest to people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed when my Mom visited me during the time that I lived in VT. The airport was 2 hrs away, and her plane left early in the morning. It was a pretty good experience. Very friendly family.
Couchsurfed for about a week in Mumbai.
Mostly good experiences all over India. Some not so great, but pretty good. Stayed a few places in Australia while traveling across. Met interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: The Bible, Les Miserables-Victor Hugo, The Fourth Realm Trilogy-John Twelve Hawks, anything that can hold my attention.
Music: Pretty eclectic. Not really into rap, but otherwise, I like some of pretty much anything.
Movies: My two favourites are Beauty and the Beast, and The Hunt for Red October.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Assisted in the birth of a baby horse.

Rescued a street dog in India. Carried her in my hoody on horseback, then took her home, fattened her up, taught her to trust people, and took her back to the States with me.
Also ended up rescuing a street kitten, who traveled around India by train with me, and another puppy. Then another kitten when I was back in the States. She was about to be killed by a dog, and needed a lot of TLC.

Started a horse therapy program for kids with special needs in Ooty.

Was charged by an elephant while on my motorcycle in the Mudumalai tiger reserve.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do a variety of crafts. Lampwork glass beading, jewelry making, knitting.
I do a lot with equine therapy if you're interested in learning about that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything in the teach, learn, share section...I also enjoy cooking.
