Overview
About Me
A self-proclaimed intimacy junkie hoping to reduce some of the suffering in this universe.
My day job has been product management for the past seven years, and on the side I've done things like build an app to foster in person connections called Iceberg the Game (try it the next time you hang out with someone new from Couchsurfing and let me know how it goes!)
If there is music, I'm normally dancing. I pretend to be good at salsa. My partner and I love to cook and routinely host themed dinner parties for our friends - it’s the way we show love.
Philosophies I'm a student of
- Socialism
- Stoicism
- Minimalism
- Zero-waste living
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I rented an apartment in San Carlos de Bariloche awhile back and started hosting. People found it difficult to leave so we started a bit of a commune and forged a family. Such a brilliant time.
I'm taking the next year off of work and wandering the planet with my partner Mimi. We look forward to making new connections and sharing intentionally with good-hearted people along the road.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Launched a toothbrush grip company that hoped to alleviate the struggle of teaching one's kid to brush their teeth...I know, it was weird. Watch a video of it here:http://louistopper.com/?p=66
Teach, Learn, Share
Would like to learn: to bake with the best of the french pastry chefs, 2 languages fluently, to dance salsa as if it were in my blood.
Can share: favorite quotes, thoughts about design, travel experiences, engineering, snowsports, surfing, the tech world in SF, minimalism, zero-waste living, stoicism.
What I Can Share with Hosts
New recipes - cooking and food is probably our no. 1 hobby.
